The house

How we work

A planning and design studio, not a booking desk. Here is what that means in practice, starting with the part most planners keep vague: who does the actual work.

Design first, because that is where we come from

The founding partner is an architect, and it shows in the order of operations: the venue is measured, the mandap is drawn, the sight lines are checked before a single flower is ordered. A six-person design team runs each wedding, with the two founders on every creative decision. More than five hundred weddings have gone through this process since 2016, across twelve countries — and the studio doing it sits in this city.

What the first reply contains

Send a date, a rough guest count and a part of town, and the reply is a short list from the venue book with the rates we hold, a full-wedding estimate rather than a per-plate teaser, and the two or three questions your family will need to settle before anything is bookable. Usually the same day. What it does not contain: a brochure, a follow-up sequence, or a request for a meeting before we have said anything useful.

What we take over

Venue negotiation on the model it charges under — plate minimums at hotels, rental-plus-kitchen at standalone venues. Decor and production, designed and built in-house. Vendor coordination as one crew with one point of accountability, not a directory of numbers to chase. And the wedding day itself, run by our on-ground team so your family is in the photographs rather than behind the buffet arguing with a contractor.

Who actually designs the wedding?

An in-house team, in Bangalore. The company was founded by an architect, and each wedding carries a six-person design team with both founders on the creative direction. Mandaps and stage structures are drawn and then built for the event — not picked from a rental catalogue — which is the difference between decor that fits the venue and decor that arrived on a truck.

Do you only do venues from your own list?

No. The book is where we start because the facts in it are ours — capacities, rooms, the rates venues have quoted us. If your family already holds a mantapa booking or a hotel date, we plan and design inside it exactly the same way.

Whose name is on the contract?

Wedvitez Planners Private Limited — the legal entity behind both The Bangalore Wedding House and Panigrahana Weddings. We print this on every page of the site because an invoice bearing an unfamiliar name once nearly cost a family their confidence in us, and no one should meet the entity for the first time on the paperwork.
