The numbers
What a Bangalore wedding costs
We hold indicative rates for 103 of the 108 venues in our book — 77 priced by the plate, 26 by the day. They are printed below so you can have the money conversation at home before anyone quotes you across a table.
The rate board, by quarter
Catering only, indicative, quoted by the venues themselves. Decor, production and stay sit outside these numbers.
Where the 77 per-plate venues open
The spread is the point. Radha Hometel — A Sarovar Hotel opens at ₹600 a plate; Evolve Back Coorg runs to ₹15,000. Both are real Bangalore-area wedding venues in the same book. Until you have picked a quarter and a kind of venue, "what does a Bangalore wedding cost" has no single answer — and anyone who gives you one before asking your guest count is guessing.
The two ways venues here charge
Hotels and resorts sell the plate. You commit to a minimum number of guests, the kitchen is theirs, and the rate carries the banquet infrastructure with it. If your final count lands under the minimum, that shortfall is usually a negotiation, not a fixed penalty.
Standalone venues sell the day. A mantapa, convention hall or farm quotes a rental for the space — Amita Rasa, for instance, sits on our file at ₹16 lakh per day (venue rental, excl. catering) — and the kitchen is your contract, not theirs. The rental looks bigger than a plate rate. Multiply the plate rate by 800 guests before deciding which is actually the expensive option.

How do Bangalore wedding venues charge?
Two models. Hotels and resorts price the plate: you commit to a minimum guest count and pay per head, and if your count falls short the shortfall is usually negotiable rather than fixed. Standalone venues — kalyana mantapas, convention halls, gardens and farms — more often price the day: a rental for the space, with catering contracted separately. The same guest list can cost very different amounts under the two models, so compare totals, never rates.
What sits outside the per-plate rate?
Decor and production, the mandap build, stay for outstation guests, priest and ritual requirements, photography, and licences where they apply. A per-plate figure is the food. On a full wedding it is one line of several, which is why we quote weddings as totals rather than forwarding venue rates.
Want a real total instead of a rate?
Month, guest count, part of town. We reply with a venue short list and a full-wedding number, not a per-plate teaser.
